Corner Stores in LATAM have an essential role for daily consumer needs in every neighborhood. They are normally over stocked and crowded with all sorts of products. The fight between brands to stand out and be relevant to consumers is a daily routine due to the rotation of products. @cocacola reached @noescomun and NOS with a new challenge to reimagine the traditional cooler. Together we made different field trips and interviews with the different corner store owners to understand the daily habits of local consumers, their needs inside the store, the different layouts inside each store, the way delivery trucks interact with them, etc. The result is an innovative cylindrical fridge, designed with a panoramic showcase shelving system that displays a wide variety of sodas. It´s façade has two independent doors, allowing easy access and efficient organization of beverages, while maintaining the temperature by reducing the exposed area on each door opening. The cylindrical shape not only maximizes space but also provides an eye-catching display that attracts customers from every angle. With its transparent glass doors, shoppers can easily view the colorful array of soda cans and bottles inside, enticing them to make an impulse purchase. The dual-door design enhances a 180° accessibility range for consumers as well as store owners. The angled shelves enable quick restocking and minimizing wait times for customers eager to grab their favorite drinks. Equipped with an energy-efficient cooling column that distributes the flow homogeneously along the whole internal body, this fridge maintains optimal temperatures to ensure that sodas are always refreshingly cold. The adjustable angled shelving system allows customization, accommodating various sizes of beverage containers, from standard cans to larger bottles.
